There are four different dates that can be used in custom reports: Entry, Posted, Service and Applied.
Transaction date is the date shown on the ledger, or the ledger date. This is the same date displayed on the regular day sheet. If an item was entered today but backdated, this would show the backdated date.
Created date is the date the action was actually performed or the entry was made. If an item was entered today but backdated, today's date would display for this value.
Service date is the date of service for the procedure that the credit or payment was applied to. If a payment or credit adjustment was entered today and applied to a procedure or charge from a previous date, the previous date would display for this value.
Applied Date is the date on which the payment or adjustment is actually applied. It does not correspond directly to any other date.
