We are looking a different hipaa compliant file sharing options and just wondered if an option for sending encrypted files will ever be part of Ascend? If not is there one you would recommend?

  This is our Product Manger response.

  In Dentrix Ascend we are looking to introduce a Patient Portal. As part of the patient portal roadmap we have planned to allow you to upload documents to the patient’s document manager and then specify which ones you would like to share with the patient.

  The patient would then login to the patient portal and have access to that document. We are hoping to have a full patient portal this year (2016) and it is part of our roadmap. When it is completed it should be all part of our Dentrix Ascend product with no additional charges to your practice.

  If you need something immediately, I would recommend Brightsquid (https://www.brightsquid.com). They have a good solution.

  Seeing that we are now in 2019 seems the development team is running a little behind on this...

  Is this even still on the roadmap?
