How do you change a provider from primary to secondary?

    That is a good question.

     

    Normally you would go into the user account and change the Primary Provider option from Yes to No.  However, there may be times where this provider is still the primary provider for other patients.

    If that is the case, you would need to change those patients to have a different primary provider before Dentrix Ascend will allow you to change the provider to a secondary status.

    Here is an article that explains how to generate that list of patients.

    UPDATE

    There is now a message in the User Account Information area under the "Is a Primary Provider" that you can click on to give you a list of patients associated with that provider.
