Procedure codes cannot be deleted from the main list. Marking procedure codes as "Favorite" will list those codes in the chart as a tile under "Add Procedure", but it will not hide the procedure code on the main list.

I think it's a good idea that we cannot delete procedure codes, but only ADA codes. If we make our own multicodes, we should be able to delete those. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback, Bobby. I added that as a feature request. To view that request, click here.

I'm just looking for ways to "de-clutter" the screens.  There are tons of codes that I never use.  How about if we at least had the ability to make any code "active" or "inactive"?

Hi, I did not see that this ever made it into a new feature. I would like to keep this open. We have a lot personal codes and multicodes. Some non ada and multicodes were already in the system which we cannot delete. For instance we have a multicode with a single composite resin in the multicode which makes no sense. We should be able to delete this. Does anyone else see a problem with this? It would be great if we could have more editing control with abilities to create and delete. Even if we cannot delete ADA codes which we don't use in our office, I think it would be great to delete others.

Same here at our office, whoever worked here before and did not know the correct code created a personal or new code and our system is overloaded. We have a lot personal codes and multicodes and so many non ada  which we cannot delete. For instance we have zirconia crown in 4 different ways. With the money we paid to upgrade our systems we should be able to get some kind of free feature that will be able us to clean up our system.

You can delete custom procedure codes that are not attached to any appointments and have not been posted to or charted (as existing, treatment-planned, or complete) in patients' records. Alternatively, you can inactivate a procedure code so that it is not available for selection wherever procedure codes can be selected.

For more details, see Deleting procedure codes.

You can delete multi-codes (except those that are required by Dentrix Ascend) as needed.

For more details, see Deleting multi-codes.
