The Dentrix Ascend Ledger keeps a history of changes to procedures. The most recent version is tagged Current and all older versions are tagged Obsolete. If you have built a custom report using the ledger that includes procedure counts, you may wish to modify that report to make sure only the current version is counted.
Watch this video to learn how to apply a revision filter to a custom ledger report. (Duration: 2:41)
- All prebuilt Power Reports dealing with the ledger are by default filtered for current records to avoid double counting. All previously-built custom reports would not have a revision filter, but you can add one if needed.
- Only custom ledger Power Reports that utilize counts are likely to be affected by Dentrix Ascend tracking revision history.
- If you want a ledger report that tracks monthly amount totals and want that report to remain historically correct, make sure to incorporate the Modified Date as your date filter.
