If a patient's perio exam is incomplete, you have until 11:59 PM of the day after the exam was started to finish the exam; otherwise, it will be deleted. A perio exam is considered incomplete if it was exited before Finish Exam was clicked (or tapped).
To resume an incomplete perio exam
How to get there
If the correct patient is not already selected, use the Patient Search box to access the patient's record.
Note: You can include inactive patients in the search results by setting the Include inactive patients switch to On.
On the Patient menu, under Clinical, click (or tap) Progress Notes.
The patient's clinical record opens with the Progress Notes tab selected.
On the Progress Notes tab of a patient's clinical record, with the Perio Exam filter selected, click (or tap) Resume next to the patient's incomplete perio exam.
The New Perio Exam message box appears.
Do one of the following:
To resume the exam where you left off, click (or tap) Resume Exam. The exam opens on the Perio tab, and the last tooth that data was entered for is selected automatically.
To delete the incomplete exam and start a new one, click (or tap) Discard Exam & Create New One.
