Dentrix Ascend can automatically verify insurance eligibility for patients with upcoming appointments. You can turn this functionality on and off as needed per location.
Note: If automatic batch insurance eligibility verification has been turned on for your location, Dentrix Ascend verifies eligibility nightly for patients with appointments that are scheduled for the next four business days (days with appointments; based on the location's hours), skipping patients whose eligibility has already been verified automatically (either as part of a batch or individually) in the current calendar month.
To enable or disable batch insurance eligibility verifications
If you are not already viewing the correct location, select it on the Location menu.
On the Settings menu, under Location, click (or tap) Location Information.
The Location Information page opens.
Do one of the following:
To enable automatic batch insurance eligibility verification, set the Batch Job for Insurance Eligibility switch to On.
To disable automatic batch insurance eligibility verification, set the Batch Job for Insurance Eligibility switch to Off. Eligibility verifications can only be initiated manually.
Click (or tap) Save.
