You can register a device to use as a kiosk for online patient forms. You can push a patient's forms to any registered device, so that patient can use your device to complete those forms.
Since you are registering a device with Dentrix Ascend, you should use a mobile device that is owned by your practice.
Using a QR code requires that your mobile device meet the following specifications: for an Apple device, iOS 11 and the Safari browser; or for an Android device, Android 4 or newer and the Chrome browser.
To register a kiosk device
How to get there
If you are not already viewing the correct location, select it on the Location menu.
On the Settings menu, under Location, click (or tap) Patient Forms.
The Patient Forms page opens.
On a location's Patient Forms page, click (or tap) Manage Kiosks.
The Manage Kiosks dialog box appears.
Use the camera on your kiosk device to scan the QR code, which corresponds to a link that directs you to the website that registers your device.
Once you follow that link, the device appears in the Manage Kiosks dialog box. You can rename the device to help you and others more easily identify it.
Close the Manage Kiosks dialog box.
