Insurance plans seem to change almost every time patients walk into the office. A common example is a patient losing his or her primary insurance and needing their secondary insurance coverage to be updated to take its place. Dentrix Ascend makes this easy to accommodate.
Watch this video to learn how to change a patient’s secondary insurance to primary. (Duration: 1:18)
- If there is an existing claim on the primary insurance, you must first delete the claim before you can make changes to the coverage type.
- When you end insurance coverage, yesterday’s date automatically becomes the Coverage End date.
- If you select Remove to expire a plan and then select Remove again, the plan will be deleted.
- Coverage type dates cannot overlap. Any previous plan coverage must expire at least one day before new coverage starts.
