You will want to review a patient's past prescriptions before issuing refills or prescribing new medication. Keeping track of prescriptions for patients is quick and simple in Ascend. All prescriptions are kept in one spot and sorted by date ranges.

- The default prescription options—for example dispensing and dosage instructions—were set up by your office when they first started using Dentrix Ascend, and can be modified by your office administrator.
- Prescriptions cannot be deleted, only Voided. There will always be a history that the prescription was prescribed, even if it was a mistake.
- Once voided, a prescription cannot be reactivated.
