It’s easy to get caught up in the thick of thin things. Once you get busy the day flies by and, even though you know you did a lot, you wonder whether you covered all of the important things.
Dentrix Ascend helps your office team keep on track of what is important with a unique design that we call Goals, Problems and Solutions—or GPS.
When you log into the home screen you will see infographics showing you what action items are most important to get done today. It’s a little bit like the reports you find in some of the more advanced practice management software systems with a few important differences.
Traditional business reports are typically run by the owner or office manager and report on some defined period in the past. So if you want to know how effective your insurance collections were last month the report is a great tool. The drawback of traditional reports is that they only look at the past—which you can’t fix.
The Ascend GPS difference is readily apparent when you first log on.
Each user has a unique home screen that is customized for their tasks with infographics that dynamically displays what needs to be done immediately in order to reach the practice goals. The screen you are viewing above is for the billing coordinator.
As you can see, Dentrix Ascend makes it crystal clear what the billing coordinator needs to do today.
- There is one completed procedure for which no claim has been created
- There are three unsent claims that need to be reviewed and sent
- There 25 unresolved claims that have been outstanding long enough that the billing coordinator should contact the carrier to understand why they haven't been paid. The great thing about this last infographic is that Ascend will learn over time how long it takes each carrier to pay and it won't warn you until it is beyond the average payout time, so that your staff is not needlessly following up on claims that don't yet require follow up.
Even better, when you click on these elements, Dentrix Ascend presents reports where all the information you need to complete the task is available to you. How easy is that!?
As we continue to build out GPS in Ascend will will add relevant content for each role in the practice, which will dynamically appear based on each users' assigned role or roles. And we will be continuing to utilize the GPS design philosophy to help you and your staff meet your practice goals.
What GPS infographics would you like to see for your office role?
