You can specify which type of procedures you want to view in the progress notes for a patient.
To filter the progress notes
How to get there
If the correct patient is not already selected, use the Patient Search box to access the patient's record.
Note: You can include inactive patients in the search results by setting the Include inactive patients switch to On.
On the Patient menu, under Clinical, click (or tap) Progress Notes.
The patient's clinical record opens with the Progress Notes tab selected.
On the Progress Notes tab of a patient's clinical record, under Filters, set up any of the following options:
Procedures: Select whether you want to view only the treatment-planned procedures and/or other procedures that are attached to an appointment that is scheduled for the patient for today or to to view all procedures for the patient (according to the selected statuses).
Notes:
The Today's work option is selected by default when you access the progress notes if the patient has an appointment scheduled for today; otherwise, the All option is selected by default.
The Th option is available only if one or more teeth are selected on the Chart tab when you go to the Progress Notes tab. With this option selected, only the procedures that are associated with the selected teeth appear in the progress notes.
Show status: Select the check boxes of the statuses of the procedures that you want to view. You can also choose to view conditions, clinical notes, prescriptions, and perio exams.

My team cannot locate progress notes although they can see them underneath their tooth chart
Atrella - Are you saying that the progress notes panel appears on the Chart tab when you are viewing the chairside dashboard, but there is not a Progress Notes tab? Or, are you saying that certain procedures are visible on the Chart tab but not on the Progress Notes tab? My guess is the latter. Maybe check out this article to understand what the dashboard displays and then make the view on the Progress Notes tab match.
