You can delete a completed, planned, or existing treatment from a patient's clinical chart or a completed procedure from a patient's ledger. However, you cannot delete a completed procedure under the following circumstances:
-
The procedure is locked because it was completed more than a specified number of days ago (according to a certain ledger option), and a patient or an insurance payment has been posted for it. In this case, you can void the procedure, re-post it correctly, and then post an offsetting adjustment if needed.
The procedure is attached to an insurance claim.
The procedure is associated with an active payment plan.
