Dentrix Ascend includes a basic time clock function. This feature enables office team members to clock in and out for their shifts, and it also provides summary information on hours worked. Having a time clock integrated into your software can drastically reduce your administrative burden if you have been recording time entries by hand with hardcopy.

- The Dentrix Ascend time clock feature is not intended to be a full payroll solution; instead it is a means to keep track of and calculate the number of hours that employees worked in a date range.
- Time punch editing can only be performed by a user with the Time Clock Summary right in their user account role.
