The Dentrix Ascend Ledger shows the history of patient services, service charges and descriptions, applied payments and adjustments, and remaining balances. It is the engine that drives your revenue cycle management (RCM) system. A successful RCM process is essential for your practice to maintain financial viability and continue to provide quality care for your patients.
Watch this video to get an overview of how the patient Ledger works in Dentrix Ascend. (Duration: 6:13)
- Ascend will remember the View choices on your device until you change them.
- You cannot backdate a transaction to a date that would cause it to become locked based on your organization's transaction lock setting.
- If your location uses Dentrix Ascend Pay, and you select Credit Card Payment as the payment type, options for processing the credit card become available.
- Completing procedures in the chart, progress notes, or schedule automatically posts procedures to the Ledger, and you can add them directly though the Procedure dialog box.
